Any Far Infrared Sauna can be therapeutic – the question is how therapeutic ???

This is determined by how much total far infrared is being emitted from the heater.  Most models emit less than 50% and others less than 10% of their total heat is Far Infrared. However, to get any real health benefits, you want a FIR sauna that emits substantial levels of its total heat in the form of Far Infrared.

Domes , Pods and the like, only emit up to 5% FRI, and can expose you to a very high Electro Magnetic Field from wiring.

Flat Carbon panel or Flat Carbon Sheet.   5 - 10%

Most of the heater is made of plastic with a carbon sprayed veneer about as thick as the paint on your car, and plastic is a non FIR emission material.   Because of the amount of wiring involved in these panels, it creates a high Electro Magnetic Field.   This emitter is also considered TOXIC, as plastic emits dioxins and other toxic material.  Not recommended for chemical sensitive people.     These are very cheap to make, and are not recommended by us.

Steel Incology, Steel Rod  40 – 50% *** *

This is a good emitter that has a 94% emission according to the manufacturer.  Just a single wire runs through the centre of the tube to create the heat that is transferred to the sand and ceramic, but it does require professional sourcing.

Lava Filled Ceramic 96%  level of FRI controllable. *****  *

These according to the independent experts are amongst the best FRI systems available.  The FRI emission is controllable, and the construction quality is both superb and superior.

Ceramic Flat Plate Concave Emitter  96% +  *****  *

These are also at the top of the league, and are definitely worth the investment both in terms of quality and workmanship. They produce outstanding levels of controllable FRI therapeutic emissions, and at the end of the day it is all about achievable performance and health benefits, which these units can deliver.

Our advice and recommendations when using a FRI Sauna.  Remember that sweat does not just contain bad things but also good things too, such as vital minerals.  Sweat is blood without protein or cellular content.

Apart from all other indications and contra-indications the following three points must be observed, in our view.

Sauna for shorter periods 20 – 30 min. (45 min. should be the longest time you stay in n FRI sauna)

Always shower after a sauna.  (otherwise toxins will just re-enter through open pores)

Take a multi mineral following sauna. (not from energy drinks, try MMM powdered minerals with water)

Medical practitioners have reported that by following this regime patients have lost up to 75% of toxic chemicals stored in fat cells of the body.   Further, this regime allows toxins stored deeper in the body to rise and be excreted during the next session.

Regular use is essential.

Take a glass of water to bed and leave it on the bedside cabinet.
When you awaken, spit into the water.
Do NOT try to gather spit from the inside of your mouth, just spit whatever you have, however little, into the water.
